Deep Tissue massage is used to release chronic muscle tension through slower strokes and more direct, forceful deep pressure. Deep tissue massage works to break up and eliminate muscle knots usually focusing more on specific areas. A deep-tissue massage helps loosen muscle tension, release toxins from muscles and allows blood and oxygen to circulating more properly.

This type of massage is best for chronically tight or painful muscles, repetitive strain, postural problems, or recovery from injury. Deep Tissue massages should not hurt, however it can become a bit more uncomfortable compared to the other types of massage.
